“I designed my first yacht in 1993 and my time working with John Munford encouraged the perfectionist in me and taught me the skills I needed to be a successful yacht designer.”
"Many yachts I was involved with during my time with John won awards, which proved that our fastidious approach to design endured. The direct result of this approach is highly satisfied clients and an excellent reputation within the industry.”

Since 2003, the studio has been building a reputation for award-winning creative design coupled with a discreet, honest and conscientious approach.

Bespoke Superyachts are undoubtedly the pinnacle of craftsmanship and design.

Every Superyacht is an artwork in itself, bringing together a selection of specialist skills to create a one-off masterpiece reflecting the lifestyle and design aspirations of its owners.

We work closely with our clients to put dreams and ideas down on paper. Our studio has an exclusive artisan approach. We produce elegant hand drawings but with the efficiency that’s required to design to a deadline. Your project will be one of a select few.

This is how we ensure quality and personal attention. Working with Adam Lay Studio means you will deal directly with Adam as the principal of the company. You and your project will always be our priority and passion.

We design yachts. Yachts are our speciality and we continue to hone our specialist knowledge to enable us to provide what we believe to be the most exclusive bespoke yacht design service available.

  • Orbis 98M

  • Currently under development is this architecturally inspired 98m motor yacht with a tiered and columned central atrium, creating an unsurpassed feeling of grandeur upon entering the yacht.

  • Clean and simple exterior lines with classical interior proportions, create a fascinating marriage of modern and classic.

  • The rotunda-style midships superstructure section provides the structure to create the unusual entrance atrium whilst maximising views through extensive use of glass.

  • Great height and drama are created by the Corinthian order of columns which ascend through two decks to support the domed ceiling above.
