Adam Lay is an artist and designer based in King’s Somborne near Stockbridge, Hampshire. Adam grew up working with pencil, watercolour, acrylic and clay prior to the application of his artistic skills as a designer in the high-end bespoke Superyacht design industry.

Adam has been visiting the Isles of Scilly for more than 15 years. His passion for yachts and the hundreds of off-islands amongst which they sail is reflected in his most recent works.

Adam uses the grain of the rough-sawn timber to give depth and interest to his driftwood-inspired paintings. The imperfections of the medium are embraced as they enhance the character of each piece.
